The Unit Controller will Lockout Mechanical Heating or Cooling when
the Outdoor Air (OA) Temperature is above or below these Setpoints.
On Air to Air Heat Pump units, Compressor Cooling and Heating can
only operate if the OA Temperature is above the Outdoor Air Cooling
Lockouts. If using the VCM-X WSHP (Water Source Heat Pump) Con-
troller, the OA Cooling Lockout is ignored. Since Emergency Heat can
only be used below the Compressor Lockouts, Emergency Heat is there-
fore not available on WSHP units using the VCM-X WSHP Controller.

The Unit Controller will temporarily disable Heating or Cooling if while
in Heating or Cooling Mode the Supply Air Temperature rises above
the High SAT Cutoff Temperature Setpoint or falls below the Low SAT
Cutoff Temperature Setpoint. See the VCM-X Controller Technical

Controller Technical Guide for detailed information on the Low and
High Supply Air Temperature Cutoff sequence of operation.

When the Unit Controller is confi gured for VAV operation and the con-
troller enters the Occupied Mode, the controller looks at the Return Air
Temperature to determine if the unit should initiate Morning Warm-up
Mode. If the Return Air Temperature is below the Morning Warm-up
Target Temperature and the Max Length is greater than “0,” the control-
ler will initiate Heating. This is considered Morning Warm-up and will
run until the Return Air Temperature rises above the Morning Warm-up
Target Temperature or until the Max Length Setpoint time expires.

On VAV or CAV confi gured units that are not using 100% Outdoor Air,
when the Indoor Relative Humidity percentage rises above the Indoor
RH Setpoint, the unit will start operating in Dehumidifi cation Mode.
If an Indoor Humidity Sensor is installed, the unit will reset the Coil
Suction Temperature Setpoint as needed to maintain this Indoor RH
Setpoint. This includes VAV, C AV and MUA applications.
On MUA confi gured units that are using 100% Outdoor Air, when the
Outdoor Air Dewpoint Temperature rises above the OA Dewpoint Set-
point, the unit will start operating in Dehumidifi cation Mode.
